The Alaska Wide GTX from Hanwag is a trekking and hiking shoe. The upper material is made from an excellent cowhide leather, which comes from a German tannery. The shoe has almost no seams, so there is less risk of friction and pressure points and the wearing comfort is increased. Around the outer material there is a hand-wound rubble protection. The trekking and hiking shoes can also be used for crampons with strap binding. The day comfort is increased by air exchange as well as in and on the shaft and ensures a comfortable feel and a better climate. The shoes also have brake studs in the centre of the tread, PU shock absorption and roll-supporting and stabilising anti-supination and overpronation zones. The lining of the shoes is made of Gore-Tex and is therefore waterproof.
